I spent over 14 years working inside the wedding industry before I ever launched Calluna & Thyme.
From the age of 18, I worked in a wedding business, meeting couples face-to-face, managing enquiries, attending wedding fairs and seeing first-hand how people make decisions when planning one of the biggest days of their lives.
I saw what made couples enquire, I saw what made them hesitate and I saw how often incredible wedding businesses were overlooked simply because they weren't communicating their value clearly enough.
Alongside that, I was always building things of my own, from a natural beauty blog and online gift store to website tweaks, design projects and endless technical rabbit holes.
So when I eventually stepped into website design, I realised something.
Most website designers understand websites.
I understand wedding businesses.
I understand what it's like to spend years building your reputation, refining your craft and becoming exceptional at what you do, only for your website to feel like it's stuck in a version of your business you've already outgrown.
And that's exactly why Calluna & Thyme exists.
There comes a point for many wedding business owners where something starts to feel off.
Your work has evolved, your confidence has grown, your prices have increased, your experience has expanded, but your website hasn't caught up.
You find yourself putting off sharing your website, second-guessing whether it reflects the quality of your work.
Wondering why people aren't enquiring as often as you'd like, or attracting enquiries that don't quite feel right for you.
And the frustrating part is it's rarely because your work isn't good enough - it's because your website isn't communicating what makes you different.
That's where I come in.
As a Showit Website Designer and Wedding Website Strategist, I help wedding businesses bridge the gap between the quality of their work and the way they're showing up online.
Because your website shouldn't just be somewhere people go to find information.
It should actively support your bookings, communicate your value and help potential clients feel confident choosing you.
have been in the industry for a few years
care deeply about experience, not just aesthetics
want their website to reflect their true value
are ready to stop DIY-ing everything themselves
I build all of my website templates and custom websites on Showit because, quite simply, it's one of the best website platforms available for creative business owners.
It's beautifully flexible, easy to update, SEO-friendly and gives you complete creative freedom without needing to touch a line of code.
Which means no more wrestling with clunky builders, no more feeling trapped by templates that won't do what you need them to do and no more needing a developer every time you want to change a button.
As a Showit Website Designer, one of my favourite things is handing over a website that not only looks beautiful, but feels easy and empowering for my clients to use moving forward.
Because your website shouldn't become another thing on your to-do list, it should support your business behind the scenes.
A wedding business website isn't just a portfolio.
It's a pre-qualification tool.
A trust builder, a first impression, a sales too and often the deciding factor between whether someone enquires or moves on to the next supplier.
Your website should:
Attract the right people
Communicate your value clearly
Build trust before you've even spoken
Guide people naturally towards enquiring
Support your pricing and positioning
Help you stand out for the right reasons
Because the goal isn't to attract everyone.
It's to attract the right people.
The people who love your work, value your expertise and are genuinely excited to work with you.
That's the difference between a website that simply looks nice and a website that actively supports your business growth.

Outside of websites, you'll usually find me with a tea or a hot chocolate (always over coffee), listening to Olivia Dean while I work, spending time with my two little ones or convincing myself that one more plant is definitely a sensible purchase.
I'm also a big believer that your business should support your life, not consume it.
Because whilst I love websites, I don't believe anyone starts a business so they can spend every spare hour tweaking one.
Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is hand it over to someone else.
